Laid in is a card and envelope inked in the same elegant writing, presenting the book as a gift to a friend who was a Hauptmann fan. Small 8vo. 192 pp. In protective Mylar. A handsome copy of a scarce book. Hauptmann, who shared some sympathies with the Nazis, won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1912. .
