A 17-page history of published role playing games from their roots in wargames to 1991, followed by nearly 400 pages of encyclopedic listing about all of the games published in that timespan. Includes essays from some of the people in the business. Ex-library copy, but you wouldn't know it at first. DJ is VG, the main fault being some bubbling in the lamination. It is otherwise clean, with good edges. The front and back covers have tape residue. The edges of the text block are lightly soiled. The front free endpaper has a library sticker and stamp. The interior is clean, aside from that.
