Sobre este artículo

London: Williams and Norgate,. Hardback. xii, 708 pp. with preface; Additions and Corrections; Index of Names and Other Words, etc. third edition. The volume contains six lectures on The Gaulish Pantheon, The Zeus of the Insular Celts, The Culture Hero, The Sun Hero and Gods, Demons and Heroes which were delivered in London in 1886. John Ryhs was a Welsh scholar and Celticist, who was born to a lead miner in Ceredigion (Cardiganshire), but went on to be Principal of Jesus College and Professor of Celtic in the University of Oxford and ended his career knighted for his work. He was a founding member of The British Academy where the Sir John Rhys Memorial Lecture is still given annually. The Hibbert Lectures also continue. Indexed. Green cloth with gilt titles to spine and gilt arms and motto of the Hibbert family to the front. A little dull and with a hint of rubbing to points. Slight beginnings of cracking to inner hinges but the book remains sound. Clean. Good+, sound copy . Hardback. 1898.
