Orig. published by Grosset & Dunlap, 1947-1952, these are the later (1950s-1960s) Clover Books reprints, now in a glossy picture cover format, with no DJs. PLEASE READ: this copy is defective in that it was bound without the front matter & first 18 pages of text!!! Otherwise, condition is solidly Good: very clean, pages moderately tanned, heavily around edges, but unmarked. Binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Minor rubbing to extremities & chipping to corners, worst at both ends of spine. No DJ as issued (never came with one). Our photos depict the EXACT book you will receive from us--never "stock" images of books we don't actually have!
