K.B.E., C.B., Ll.D., M.Ch., D.Sc., F.R.C.S; and previous owner's name and date at the top of the ffep. Stated First Printing. 225pp.., with b/w photos throughout, sketches by George Djurkouic, and map by A. Spark. Hillary's first book, detailing his 1953 Everest expedition. A nice copy, tight binding clean interior; jacket has chipping at the cprners and spine, with tape repairs to the verso at the spineand top front corner, else Very Good.
