Sobre este artículo

San Francisco: The Grabhorn Press, 1942. Only five hundred copies were printed at The Grabhorn Press in December 1941. The book is about a community of Russians living on Potrero Hill in San Francisco. There are thirty full-page illustrations in color by Pauline Vinson with captions in red on see-through tissue guards. The illustrations themselves are beautiful pochoir with muted pastel colors. The depict both the people in the community and the places in which they gathered.

The book was inscribed by a previous owner. Interior pages are slightly toned.
