Sobre este artículo
London: John Murray, 1955. Hardcover. xiv, 241p., plentifully provided with portrait and activity photos, hardbound first edition in 9x5.5 inch red cloth boards spine-titled in bronze. This titling is so dim as to be illegible; perhaps dull bronze on medium scarlet was a poor design choice. Lacks the jacket, spine panel faintly grimy, spots of foxing to title page and several adjacent leaves because of something acidic that had been laid in at the half-title, now gone. The bulk of the item is not at all foxed. A good copy. From p.viii: "The expedition described in this book was intended to prepare the ground for the extension of administrative control over a group of little known tribes in the Indo-Tibetan borderlands
