Wide margin paper, browned overall, a few pages have old neat repairs in the top margin, but otherwise clean and sturdy. USTC 663037 Celestin was a German Lutheran theologian from Plauen who wrote a history of the Augsburg Diet and Confession held in the year 1530, including the principles of religious deliberation, counsels and answers, " the means of peace and concord between the papists, the Epistles, the gospels." Includes letters from Melanchthon, Luther, Johan Brentium and many others. Quite scarce, only one copy recorded at auction in the last 50 years, and only 3 copies in North American libraries, this one very handsomely and impressively bound by a master binder. ; Folio 13" - 23" tall .
