Please note, this is an oversize book an may incur extra shipping charges. Between 1876 and 1888, a Frenchman named Albert Racinet produced a six-volume 'History of the World in Costume'. One of the earliest books on the subject, its scope and detail has never been surpassed. 'The Historical Encyclopedia of Costumes' is a recreation of Racinet's classic work.
