In over a hundred maps it looks both at the broad sweep of events to provide a fascinating sample of how events during the war were mapped out. Maps and illustrations were vital to the conduct of the war. All the maps in this were were derived from the holdings of the Public Record Office (PRO) of the United Kingdom and all have their PRO reference number to facilitate further research.
