Sobre este artículo
London: Longman, Orme, and Co, 1840. First Edition. Hardcover. Near Fine. Hardcover in rebound brown cloth boards. No dust jacket. 1840 edition first edition. Book is crisp and clean, with tight binding and sharp corners. Two richly colored plates. One plate has ink markings in the margins, as does the facing page. Text pages are free from foxing. Preliminary pages include the engraved title-page, the general title page, and the preface to the series from 1836 ("General Orders"), a preface, and an introduction. The regiment is referred to slightly differently in each place. Small 8vo. 137 pp. plus the preliminary pages. The author pioneered the idea of the regimental history. This one seems not to be available in a online (downloadable) version. From the estate of Donald G. Skinner, Canadian military collector extraordinaire. Laid in is a magazine cutout of a Greys Vedette by Lady Elizabeth Butler.
