Some light browning, contemporary brown cloth binding with gilt lettering to spine. Richard Fenton (1746-1821), topographical writer and poet was born at St. David's Pembrokeshire. A Lawyer by profession he is chiefly remembered for the above work. His books and journals, more tour literature than history, are entertaining reading, being an attractive mixture of accurate reporting and recording interspersed with personal descriptions of scenery and accounts of oral history, local legends, Previous owner name at top of fly leaf. Overall tight and clean.. 1st Edition. Cloth. Near Fine/No Jacket - Issued. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
