Sobre este artículo

London : Printed for Matthew Walbanke, 1647. 1st Edition - 2nd state. Hardback. Minor worming with text largely unaffected. Finely bound in modern aniline calf over marble boards. Raised bands with the gilt-blocked original label laid back. Remains a particularly well-preserved example; tight, bright, clean and strong. ; 8vo 8"" - 9"" tall; 0 pages; Physical desc.: 2 volumes bound in 1. [12], 323 p. 307 p. [13] p. ; 20 cm. Note: COPAC and other related entries refer to an author's signature: his name in manuscript does appear in this copy but we presume that the printer added this, following their noticing that the author's name did not appear on title page post print. Anonymous by John Selden, edited by Nathaniel Bacon. In this edition, printer's name and address in two lines. B1r has row of type ornaments at head; C1r has woodcut ornament; the 'D' of D1 is under the 'n' of 'and'. Wing mistakenly identifies the state with imprint word ""Walbanke"" as the 1672 reprint. Part 2 titled 'The continuation of an historical discourse of the government of England, until the end of the reign of Queen Elizabeth'. (1651). ESTC citation no.: R483640. Subject: Constitutional history - Great Britain.
