Octavo. 377 pp. Frontispiece photograph of the Central Premises in 1910; numerous illustrations including local views and portraits of staff and Society members. Decorative tail pieces. Book Condition: Very Good. Publisher's bevelled purple cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper board and gilt Hive of Industry motif to upper board; green patterned endpapers featuring CWS monogram. Cover cloth rubbed with minor wear at spine tips and corners; spine and edge of rear board lightly sunned. Ownership inscription of Mr H Walton with his address to front pastedown. A little scattered fingermarking; small stain top edge pp 317 onwards (text & illustrations unaffected). Scarce.
