1885 hardcover as pictured. This is a reading copy of a beautifully made book that has seen considerable damage. The binding is partially intact with a number of pages loose. Several pages are missing and have been replaced by photocopies. Plates of the horses named have also been replaced by photocopies. Green cloth boards with gold stamping are soiled and worn. Both are detached from spine. Title and dedication pages are present but loose. Text is tanned, a number of pages are stained with ragged edges. Pages 11 and 12 have been replaced with photocopies. Despite the poor condition of the book it is very readable. Price reflect condition. Your purchase helps support our small village library. s
