George Bell, London, 1870. The Nests and Eggs published 1879. The second (& best) edition. The Birds with 365 hand coloured plates; the Nests & Eggs with 232 hand coloured plates. In all 9 volumes 8vo (10 1/4 x 7 1/4 inches). Original green grained cloth blockedin blind and pictorially in gilt. Small chip in 2 headbands. Cracked at a number of inner gutters, several split. Overall very clean, the bindings bright and very good. Weight 13.161 kg thus extra overseas shipping will be requested.
