Light browning to page edges with pencil mark and foxing on upper edges. Name of previous owner stamped on front free endpaper. 795 pages with illustrations, figures, footnotes, table of symbols, lists of authors and publications, and 2 indices. A detailed look at the history of chemistry from da Vinci to Boerhaave.
