A very good original illustrated binding. 8vo. 8.75" x 5.75". pp.14/[2pp.]/pp.272 . Red cloth covered boards. Hinges and corners carefully strengthened. Rubbed gilt title to spine. Black illustration of church to front board. Inner hinges carefully strengthened. Neat dedication to front endpaper dated 1924 ". Photomezzotype frontis: "Coggeshall Church, Interior." Well illustrated with numerous woodcuts within the text, one full-page plate and a folding map of Coggeshall. Also illustrations within text. ** Excerpt from Obituary, Essex Chronicle June 8th 1928: "...George Frederick Beaumont, son of Joseph Beaumont was born at Witham July 1856 and died in May 1928. He joined his Father's firm of solicitors and married Amy Phillips in August 1882."
