London: Cassell . 1956-1958 All First Edition 1st Impressions.Very Good Condition in Very good Dust-Jackets apart from Volume II which has a 3cm chip to ythe wrapper at the base of spine and we would grade this wrappwer as 'Good Only' as it has several small closed tears to it's extremities as well.A History of the English Speaking Peoples Bound in burgundy cloth with bright gilt lettering to the spines top edges of the leaves are now a faded stained pink as issued.Volume One is entitled 'The Birth of Britain',volume two 'The New World',volume three 'The Age of Revolution' and volume four 'The Great Democracies.Vols 1&2 both have previous owner's names to the front endpapers the other 2 volumes have no names or inscriptions.Therer is general rubbing and wear to the outer edges of the dust-jackets.There is some foxing present to the page edges and also to the front endpapers and pre-lims.No volume is price clipped.All Volumes are First Editions 1st Impressions.A decent set of this highly sought after work.All the dust-jacket come well protected in removable cover sleeves.First Editions 1st Impressions.1956-1958 . Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 1st Printing. 1956.
