This is Volume I only.Churchill covers from Caesar's invasions of Britain, up to the end of the Second Boer War.Illustrated with the occasional full-paged map.Written by Winston Churchill. Though this work was well received, his best known historical work is 'The Second World War'. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Light spots to the fore edge. Dustwrapper with minor edgewear and a few light marks. Spine of dustwrapper is a little sunned. Ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
