Sobre este artículo

Frankfort Kentucky: Roberts Printing Co., 1912. Early days in Franklin County, which includes Kentucky's capital city, Frankfort, are recalled in this new 110-page booklet titled: Franklin County, Kentucky, USA. The spiral-bound booklet is a slighly abridged reprint of a 1912 book by L.F. Johnson, The History of Franklin County, Ky. The tri-color front cover is printed on 80# card stock and has been protected with a vinyl sheet. The text is printed on 60# opaque paper. Using 11" x 8.5" paper, we've printed two of original pages on each page. Among the many subjects included are: Formation and Organization of the county, location; Public Records of the first seven years; Indian Incursions; Excerpts from "The Palladium," a literary weekly paper started in 1798; County men who were prominent prior to 1800; Geological formations, minerals, blue grass, etc.; Early settlements on the south side of the Kentucky River, including Frankfort and Leestown; A detailed listing of events in the county, decade by decade through 1910, probably taken from old newspaper files, with many names included; Names of soldiers in the War of 1812, the 1847 War with Mexico and the Civil War (on both sides); Civil War incidents, including Gen. John Morgan's raid; Churches; "Present Time, November 1912" and other items of interest.. Limited Edition Reprint. Spiral/Comb . New/No Jacket. 11" x 8.5". Private Press.
