This book is in very good condition. There is minimal to no wear on the front, back and spine of the cover boards. There is no wear on the edges and some slight bumping on the top of the spine corners.The previous owners name is written on the inside of the front cover board and his stamp is affixed ro the front end page. This book is in good condition. There is wear on the front, back and spine of the cover boards and the edges are worn as well. The corners are bumped as well. Corners with wear and bumps.Johannes Buxtorf (December 25, 1564 – September 13, 1629) was a celebrated Hebraist, member of a family of Orientalists; professor of Hebrew for thirty-nine years at Basel and was known by the title, "Master of the Rabbis". His massive tome, De Synagoga Judaica (1st. ed. 1603), scrupulously documents the customs and society of German Jewry in the early modern period.

This used paperback book is in very good condition. The pages are clean and neat. The binding is tight. The boards are clean inside and out.

The author, Georg Heinrich Loskiel (1740-1814), was a Moravian minister from Latvia who came to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 1801 to head the Moravian community. This collection of daily spiritual meditations was published in Budissin (now Bautzen, Ger.) shortly before he left Europe for the United States. In 1802 he was appointed presiding bishop of the Northern district of the American province of the Moravian Church. Very scarce. Bottom corner of front cover is also creased. Light bumping at corners and edges. Back cover is tanned around edges and has dry residue from a sticker on the original price marking.
