Three-Quarter leather bindings, brown endpapers, top-edge gilt, titles stamped in gilt on spine, frontispiece portrait of author in Vol. II with tissue guard. Folding map in volume II present. Vol. I is a second edition, 1906, Vol. II is a first edition, 1907. Both Vols. have been expertly re-backed with the original spines laid back down. some chips at the head and tail of both volumes, minimal on Vol II. Vol. I 559 pages, Vol. II 655 pages. Clean solid copies without any markings, very nice. Both volumes protected with acetate dust jackets.
