First published in Swedish, 1759, this work presents a history and description of the Swedish community in the Delaware River valley, from the arrival of the first Swedish settlers in 1638 to the middle of the 18th century. Originally printed as Volume 11 in the Memoirs of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania Series. Howes 34: "Most trustworthy contemporary authority on the Swedisch [sic] settlements on the Delaware.".
