Sobre este artículo

Mansfield Centre, CT: Martino Publishing, 2010. paper covered boards. Maryland. tall 8vo. paper covered boards. l., v-xiv pages., 1 l., 275 pages. Reprint of the 1922 first edition which was limited to 500 copies. Contains a number of full page plates. Still one of the most exhaustive studies of the printing press and literature of Colonial Maryland. There seems to have been no source that was not carefully investigated. Mr. Wroth has not only assembled all the information that could be obtained about his subject, but has presented it in a most attractive manner. This work will rank as one of the great contributions to the history of colonial American literature. It is also of interest to Virginians as William Nuthead, first printer of Maryland, was probably the same as the William Nulhead or Nuthead who was employed by Buckner when he established the short-lived press at Jamestown. In all 372 items are meticulously described. Includes an index.

Sobre Oak Knoll Books/Oak Knoll Press

Oak Knoll Books was founded in 1976 by Bob Fleck, a chemical engineer by training, who let his hobby get the best of him. Somehow making oil refineries more efficient using mathematics and computers paled in comparison to the joy of handling books. Oak Knoll Press, the second part of the business, was established in 1978 as a logical extension of Oak Knoll Books. Oak Knoll Books is a thriving company that maintains an inventory of about 20,000 titles. Our main specialties are books about bibliography, book collecting, book design, book illustration, book selling, bookbinding, bookplates, children's books, Delaware books, fine press books, forgery, graphic arts, libraries, literary criticism, marbling, papermaking, printing history, publishing, typography & type specimens, and writing & calligraphy - plus books about the history of all of these fields.
