First London edition, 1769, 3 volumes, quarto (11 inches, 28 cm), contemporary brown leather with red spine labels, very good, some wear and neat repairs to joints, contents very good, some age toning and foxing. Bookplates of Sir Thomas Munro (1761-1827) of the Scottish Clan Munro; mainly a soldier and officer who fought in several campaigns, he was appointed Governor of Madras in 1819.
