TITLE CONTINUED: From his first great Pursuit after Fame Immortal, till the Close of his celebrated Career: Including, minutely, every curious Incident attending his faithful Squire and Servant, Sancho Panza. Interspersed with Ludicrous Dialogues, Rhapsodies, Madrigals, and Serenades. The whole replete with infinite humour and drollery. Translated from the Original Spanish of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra by Charles Henry Wilmot, Esq. TWO VOLUMES, complete set circa 1769, title page undated. 8vo, approximately 220 x 130 mm, 8½ x 5 inches, 20 copper engraved plates, including frontispiece, pages: xii, 3-390, [1]; iv, 3-398, [1] - last leaf is an advert with list of plates on verso, bound in full contemporary polished calf, gilt lettered red morocco labels, gilt volume numbers and gilt rules between raised bands. Binding slightly rubbed with a couple of small stains, ½ inch crack to top of upper hinge, 1 corner worn with board just showing, the other corners very slightly worn, offsetting from frontispiece onto title page of Volume 1 and tiny repair to blank side, both title pages have an engraved bookplate on verso (no name), engraved bookplate on first pastedowns (Thomas Sneyed Kynnersley, Loxley Park), varying brown offset from most copper plates to text, small chip to 1 margin, closed tear to 1 outer margin, neatly repaired, neat tiny repair to edge of 1 plate, none test or affecting image, occasional age-browning and fox spot, narrow light blue stain to outer edge of 2 plates.
