First Edition. 4to (17 x 25cm). pp. ii, [4], 504, v, + corrigenda; folding panoramic view, b/w illustrations + five folding maps. Original cloth binding with gilt lettering, expertly and inconspicuously rejointed, retaining the original spine, a little rubbing to extremities, cloth a little darkened to spine. Contents clean and tight, inconspicous circular reference library stamps to the reverse of some of the plates, original end papers, several pages at the rear with professional repairs to very short marginal tear to the bottom edge.
