Sobre este artículo

New York: Veteran Volunteer Publishing, 1891. First Edition. HB. Overall a good book. Spine lattering and imprint on front board bright. Square and tight./No Jacket. A keeper. The Sixth served in the Florida Panhandle at Pensacola and Santa Rosa Island. Accounts about that phase of the War are virtually nonexistent, I know I lived there 26 years.

The book most likely was once owned by Sergeant William Knappmann who served in Company H of the regiment. His photo is found on page 11 and his named is mentioned on page 54. This is gleaned from a death notice for Martha Knappmann that is tipped in on the ffep. She was probably William's wife. A very brief unit history is tipped onto the back gluedown. A handsome book containing rare photos and impressions of the Florida area.
