This was an instant classic upon publication.Boyd is best known for this work, being the Head of the Education Department at the University of Glasgow for nearly forty years.One page of adverts to the front. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, smart. Light bumping to the spine and extremities. A few light marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the spine and extremities. The odd spot to the fore edge. Faint ink inscription to the recto to the front endpaper. Dustwrapper is a little edge worn with some chips and closed tears. Some rubbing to the wraps resulting in a little loss of paper. Light discolouration and marks to the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. The occasional pencil underline to the text. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
