The original oil painting was commissioned by the publisher Wandering Star for the first of three Conan volumes in their series of deluxe books The Robert E Howard Library of Classics. This painting is reproduced as endpapers in The Complete Conan of Cimmeria Volume 1 (1932 - 1933). This is a limited edition giclee print of 100 signed and numbered copies world wide. It has been produced directly from the original art using the highest quality professional scans and replicates the colours and textures of the original painting to the most exacting standards. Printed on Museo 250 gsm paper. 100% cotton buffered with calcium carbonate no fluorescent whiteners added and acid free, using 7 vibrant colours and enhanced greyscales. Lightfast to 75+ years.
