Sobre este artículo

Australia: Rigby Limited. Drawings by Max Angus. Hobart is a unique city, with a unique history; rough-hewn in texture but with many gracious aspects. Convicts, English gentlemen, Army officers, roistering sailors and whalers, dedicated clergy and down-to-earth common folk all did their part in establishing a settlement which was once known as "A nest of vipers". They left their own monuments in buildings which still stand, and which give the city its special atmosphere. In Hobart Sketchbook, this is well conveyed in the drawings by Max Angus, a well-known Hobart artist who has sketched a number of the most historic buildings. And, in her usual lively style, Patsy Adam Smith brings to life the men and women who lived in them, and who acted in ways which were sometimes all too human. Price clipped. Some wear and tear to D/J. . Near Fine. Cloth. First Edition. 1968.
