Harper & Brothers, 1952. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good +. FIRST Edition, LATER Printing. Pictorial book boards and end-papers; 'G-R-RR' on page 23 (making it a later issue). Black spine cloth. Volume is clean and tight with just a bit of shelf wear along extremities. Dust Jacket is VERY GOOD PLUS, and has the correct price of $1.50 on front flap (with 30-70 at lower edge of same). Jacket is corner clipped at bottom of front flap. Has a touch of soiling to crown and foot of spine paper. Rear panel lists other titles by Ruth Krauss and shows light soiling. A fabulous Mid-Century issue, with wonderful SENDAK illustrations throughout. Mylar protected jacket.
