Small 8vo., 7 3/8 x 5 inches (188 x 127 mm), pp. 180, printed on heavy laid paper and illustrated with a frontispiece portrait plate Red calf binding by Root & Son with gold fillets and rosettes on boards, 5 raised bands, gilt decoration and titles in compartments, turn-ins decorated in gilt, marbled endpapers, one original dark navy buckram cover and the dark navy spine with gilt title bound in, t.e.g., spine slightly sunned, interior lightly and uniformly toned, firmly bound.

[Cutler 29]. This unauthorized collection of stories first appeared in several Scottish and British magazines between January 1886 and August 1990 and was never published in England.

Sir James Matthew BARRIE, 1st Baronet, OM (1860 - 1937) was a Scottish novelist and playwright, best remembered as the creator of PETER PAN.
