Philadelphia: Westminster Press, 1949. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. The interior of the book is clean and tight, showing light wear only. There are charming period illustrations throughout. The pictorial covers show light wear to edges and corners, with somewhat heavier wear to the spine The dust jacket is clipped, and is only in Good condition, with several large nicks of missing paper. Because the dust jacket and cover use the same art work, this is not as obtrusive as it might be. The jacket is now in a protective plastic cover, and despite the flaws has a period charm. Synopsis: "A group of Sunday school children make the happy discovery that their classroom has been newly painted and decorated by their fathers. As a way of saying thank you, the children plan a a party for their fathers. Each father's occupation -- policeman, fireman, milkman, minister, & mailman -- involves an important service to the community, and while delivering the invitations the children have a wonderful time learning about their duties.
