Larger Dumpy Book No. 2, FIRST EDITION 1901, small 8vo, 160 x 115 mm, 6¼ x 4½ inches, mauve cloth, ruled and lettered purple, top edges gilt, 120 pages. 24 very attractive colour plates by E. Florence Mason, most featuring children having fun. Interesting descriptions for children of reasons for and traditions associated with the various holidays: St George's Day, Shrove Tuesday, Guy Fawkes Day, Christmas etc. Some light fading on cloth cover and there are four pages which have a brown mark, else a very good copy.
