Porter & Coates, Philadelphia, 1894. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good-. Illustrated with sepia toned photographic plates and a folding map at the end of vol II. Gilt stamped red cloth, with sewn in nylon ribbon markers; top edges gilt. The volumes have gently bumped spine ends. The interiors have endpaper offsetting and some sporadic foxing. The red cloth dust jackets are lightly frayed at the extremities and have soiled and toned spines. The slipcase has worn joints (including one which has a 1 3/4" tear), is soiled and is toned on the gilt stamped panel.
