Paper-covered boards with paste-on front board and paste-on label on blue spine. Boards soiled, front top corner worn through the paper. Front hinge starting. Inscription on first free front endpaper: "Outstanding men are often bitten on the heels because the heads of the yelping coyotes are just on that level. Greetings to Leonard Wood from his [unintelligible], Havane Torchiana, February 1924." Next owner's name written below. Laid in is a three page photocopy from the Netherland Club of New York, Inc. describing "The Half Moon Trophy" (a small scale replica of Henry Hudson's ship) and a bibliography from 1841-1969. Good..
