Good bindings and cover to each volume. Minimal shelfwear. TEG. Loss to head and tail of spine on Volumes VI-VIII. Boards detached on Volume II and front board detached on Volume VII. 5 raised bands. 6 compartments. Owner's inscription of Alex. R. Nininger, Jr. on FEP of 12 of the volumes. Two volumes have added gift inscription of a later date on Clean, unmarked pages with minimal toning. Illustrations in clean, crisp condition. Please feel free to view our photographs. <br><br> Alexander R. Nininger Jr. (1918 - January 12, 1942) was a Second Lieutenant of the Philippine Scouts who received the first Medal of Honor in World War II. This set belonged to him.
