Windsor [Vt.] : Merrifield and Cochran, sold wholesale and retail by them at The sign of the Bible, 1812. 960 p., 8 leaves of plates : ill. (lacking.) 4to. Fully bound in contemporary brown calf skin leather. 5 raised bands. 6 compartments. Dark burgundy Morocco spine label with gilt lettering. Tight binding and solid boards. Minor shelf wear. Slight rubbing to boards. Bumping to corners. Scuffing to spine. Minor toning, creasing to initial pages. Staining inside front and rear boards. Unmarked pages with slight toning throughout. Lacking all illustration plates.<br><br>This was the first Bible printed in Vermont, and originally included engravings with publisher's information in lower margin. The engravings depicted biblical figures, including Luke and Paul. The Bible was printed by John Cunningham, and contains Apocrypha.<br><br>This is an oversized volume and may require additional postage for international delivery.
