Massive book, 10"x12"x3.7"; ivory leather covers with both front and back having an elaborate embossed design and scene in gold of Christ on the cross being speared; all page edges are gilded. Apparently has been rebound, with black leather spine with gold band and "Holy Bible" in gold; original front and back boards retained now with edges protected with a heavy brown 1/2" margin of leatherette material; black endpapers. Binding is sound; gold on page edges somewhat worn; no marks or writing, light to moderate foxing, pages have slight ripple; original covers rather worn but gold design still quite attractive.
