William W. Harding, 1867-01-01. Leather Bound. Very Good. Andrews Family Bible. Marriages, Births and Deaths are filled in. First name mentioned is Robert Andrews (d. 1804, New Salem, NY). This book was his grandson's, Warren Brooks Andrews (b. 1839 New Salem, MA, d. 1921 Orange, MA). Andrews was a noted figure in Orange Mass (married Lizzie T.Stone). The last entry is of Josephine Elvira Frye (b. 1896). 32 cm. Full contemporary tooled leather binding. Stamped in gold, W. B. Andrews. All edges gilt. Solid binding and cover. Minor shelf wear to cover. Pages are generally clean, with very limited staining to outer margin. Contains the Old and New Testament "together with marginal references, Apocrypha, concordance and psalms. The text conformable to the Oxford edition, and the American Bible Society's standard of 1816." Includes ephemera for the Grand Army of the Republic (1896).
