Walpole, (N. H.): Anson Whipple, 1815 The First Holy Bible to be printed in the State of New Hampshire. Anson Whipple was the son-in-law to Isaiah Thomas, with Thomas setting up the presses in Walpole in New Hampshire. Typesetting and printing took 5 years to accomplish, with a run of 8000 copies. Printed in double column format, bound in tree calf, with binding tight. Back cover nearly detached, front cover starting, leather spine label intact. Covers in Good Condition, Interior in VG Condition.
