'The Holy War' is a novel about the fictitious town 'Mansoul', a perfect town, which sees its inhabitants rebelling and trying to overthrow their ruler. Written by John Bunyan, who is best known for 'The Pilgrim's Progress'.Prior owner's ink inscription to the front pastedown. Rebound in a cloth binding. Externally, generally smart, with some rubbing and marks to the boards and spine. Light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Hinges are a little strained but remain firm. Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
