Very Good +/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 251pp. Eleven indexed bw photographic plates including frontispiece, all intact. Erratum slip tipped in on colophon. Navy blue cloth with fine silver lettering. No wear to covers or spine. Colour photo illustrated DJ clean, showing shallow wear to top corners, head and tail. DJ preserved now in archival cover. Octavo. Joy Packer is the author of three other memoirs: Pack and Follow, Grey Mistress, and, Apes and Ivory. This volume tells the story of her life in South Africa and England in the decade after her husband, Admiral Sir Herbert Packer retired from the British Navy.
