Wear to spine ends and corners. Some soil overall to both boards. Prize award sticker on front endpaper, dated 1888. Stamp on the half title page. Tiny stamp on rear pastedown. Inside pages are unmarked, but there is degrees of foxing throughout. An attractively bound book with 28 in-text engravings. Includes burrowing mammals, birds, reptiles, invertebrates, molluscs, spiders, insects, and beetles. .
