Sobre este artículo
Russell was born in Lurgan, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. His family moved to Dublin when he was ten, where he went to school and, in 1886, began his friendship with William Butler Yeats who introduced him to Theosophy which had a strong influence in his life. Persuaded by friends, he published his first book of poems in 1894, signed "AE," which he continued to use on his writings thereafter. The poems were very well received and helped to establish his place in Irish literature. Fifty-one songs in all, including The Unknown God, The Singing Silences, Echoes, The Hermit, Childhood, The Place of Rest, and more.
