Weibel, Charles A., 'History of Homological Algebra' in History of Topology, Amsterdam: Elsevier, 1999. In this book, Cartan and Eilenberg laid the foundations of homological algebra, unifying the work that had been done up to that point and providing a systematic general framework for future results. Weibel describes this book as "a true revolution in mathematics, and as such it was also a new beginning" (Weibel, p. 797). A milestone of modern mathematics and a book that is difficult to find in the first edition. Very Good with a few areas of minor discoloration to the textblock in a Good-only edge-worn dust jacket with light chipping to the top and bottom of the spine panel and the tips, original college book store stiicker on rear panel.
