Fawn covers with gilt lettering and decoration on spine and upper board which also has round portrait dropped in, 118pp, with eight full-page colour illustrations, inc tissue-guarded frontis. Red dropped-cap to start of each chapter. Gilt top edges. Covers have light bumping to head and foot of spine, but very little wear. Page edges dusty and foxed. Prelims heavily foxed with light foxing throughout. Neat gift inscription on ffep dated "Xmas 1913". Tiny monogram in top corner of front pastedown. Otherwise internally very clean and tight and overall a very attractive copy. Ref:104143. Second Edition. Cloth. VG/N/a. Illus. by C. E. Brock. 17x21.5cm.
