Sobre este artículo
Simon & Schuster, 2014. First edition. Hardcover. Fine/fine. Fine in fine dust jacket. First edition, first printing. Hardcover. 565 pp. with index, chronology of Hope's major work. Illustrated with photos. Bob Hope (1903-2003) was one of the most recognizable and to some the most important entertainer of the 20th century. The London-born Hope, over his 80-year career, was the only entertainer to achieve top-rated success in every mass-entertainment medium of the century, from Vaudeville in the 1920s, radio starting in 1934, the movies largely in the 30s, 40s, and 50s, and television in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. He virtually invented stand-up comedy. Hope hosted the Academy Awards nineteen times and was famed for his 50 annual USO shows.
